Your templates are basically the html code for the construction of your web page. They do more than plain HTML, though -- they also include template variables, conditionals, toplists and the like.

The first thing you need to know about your templates is you will be breaking up your normal html page up into 2 parts: the wrapper and the specific area template. The wrapper gives the header and footer of the page, this is where you will place information that you want displayed on each and every page of your site (with the exception of any pages you specify custom wrappers or no wrapper for).

The body section of your page will be comprised of any number of different templates to create your complete html page. Here body is used to described the majority of you page and the information that will change on each page.
