Requirements

Download the server test script from the front page of the website to determine if you can run WSN Knowledge Base.
Approximately 5 megabytes of disk space is required to install, and more will be needed depending on the number of articles, categories, comments and members in your knowledge base.
WSN Knowledge Base works in safe mode, and this includes all file uploads. WSN Knowledge Base also works with register_globals off, or on. It will run on any server which PHP will run on, be it Windows, Linux, BSD, or other Unix.
A cookie enabled browser is required for logging into the admin panel and using the member system. WSN Knowledge Base avoids the common Internet Explorer 6 default security setting problem with cookies, by supplying a privacy policy header.
Either GD (normally bundled with PHP) or ImageMagick is required for image features such as thumbnails. ImageMagick is preferable if available.
If you need a suggestion of an affordable but reliable host which fully meets the requirements, see http://www.freewebspace.net/forums or http://www.webhostingtalk.com . If you're interested in knowing, this site is currently hosted on a virtual private server from http://www.liquidweb.com
