In your switches you have the option to turn on macros. This will create a section in everyone's member home where they can specify that a short keycombo of their choice should be replaced automatically with a longer keycombo. These can involve WSN Codes, so the user might for example map "example" to "example".
Macros apply to image descriptions, category descriptions, comment text, private messages and chat messages.
In WSN KB they apply to article text, of course.
