Dead link and reciproal link checkers

If your reciprocal link checker doesn't work, first go to your settings and be sure that you have a value listed for your website's URL.
If it unexpectedly doesn't check any links and just says 0 checked and they're all fine, likely you didn't set the links to be the type 'reciprocal'. Edit the reciprocal links to indicate that they're reciprocal.
If you get a 404 error or internal server error when you try to check links, consult your phpinfo page. (Click the phpinfo link on the main page of your admin panel.) Find the value listed for the row "allow_url_fopen". If this value is "1", fopen URL wrappers have been disabled and so PHP cannot load remote sites to check them. Ask your web host to enable fopen URL wrappers. Once enabled, the value in your phpinfo should be "on" and your link checkers should work.
